ATL has chosen Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People as its Charity of the Year and has already raised £236 through colleague fundraising.
Employees at ATL’s head office in Foston, Derbyshire and its depot in Carlisle collectively voted for the East Midlands Hospice. Employees aim to hold various fundraising activities and events throughout the year to raise vital funds for families with life limited children.
Managing Director, Jon Ward, said: “We look forward to supporting such a worthy cause who provide care to life-limited children and their families. We’ve already kicked off our fundraising efforts with some World Cup themed activities, including a sweepstake and keepy-uppy competition.
“By holding regular fundraising activities we not only support a local charity, but it also encourages a more engaging and team-centered working environment across the business that all employees can get behind.”
Rainbows supports youngsters with life-limiting conditions and their families from across the East Midlands – and is the only specialist care centre of its kind in the region.
Tom Stanyard, Rainbows Corporate Partnership Fundraiser, commented: “We are incredibly grateful to ATL and the commitment of its staff. Without this kind of support we would not be able to provide the vital care our youngsters and their families need.”
