The Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) – as well as supporting regulations, approved codes of practice, guidance notes and standards – govern the work activities within ATL. To comply with these legislative requirements, we develop our own dedicated health and safety policies which are made available to all staff and contractors. The policies are reviewed on a regular basis and amended as required.
We apply the BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety standard to all areas of our organisation. This helps to identify and manage risks for safer working conditions and improve performance.
To ensure compliance and continuous improvement, our staff are involved in thorough EHS training and their progress is measured against targets. Our dedicated drivers are continually assessed by our in-house driver trainer to ensure the CPC accreditation and our high standards are maintained. This gives our customers the peace of mind that their deliveries are executed in a professional manner.
