Stuart Morgan – Derby Depot

Stuart was employed during April 2013 as a van driver and entered our driving academy scheme approximately two years later. He successfully gained his Class 2 licence during the middle of 2015 and now would like to advance further.

“I have been with ATL for almost 3 years. I started by driving a van and the company encouraged me to take my Class 2 licence which they funded. I was grateful for the opportunity and am now looking to move up to Class 1 which will hopefully be in the early part of 2016”.

Since writing this, Stuart has now passed his Class 1. Again, congratulations!

Paul Wood – Carlisle Depot

“I started with ATL on 25th November 2013 as the Compliance Officer in Carlisle. In the early days the role was in its infancy and I was told that I had the opportunity to push it forward as I wished. ATL gave me the opportunity to develop the skills through supporting and encouraging me to add to my national CPC.

“Although I failed in my first attempt, ATL kept faith with me throughout not only funding the initial training but also the re-sit to enable me to gain the international CPC. This proved to myself that ATL is a progressive company that invests in its employees to drive the company forward. I very much look forward to being a part of the continued growth of ATL.”

Alan Dempster – Carlisle Depot

Alan commenced with ATL during September 2012 and was employed as a van driver. By October of 2014 Alan had progressed to a HGV Class 2 driver.

“ATL encouraged me to progress my driving career within the logistics sector. My ambition was to become a heavy goods driver and I was prepared to fund the training to obtain my Class 2 licence myself but because ATL have supported me, it has allowed me to progress at a quicker pace. I would like to thank the company and would like to think that they would support me further to achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a Class 1 driver.”

Since writing this, Alan passed his Class 1 on 1/12/16. Congratulations!
