Supervision of the efficient day-to-day running of nominated driver cohort ensuring the briefing and de-briefing occurs daily to cover areas such as behaviour, POD returns etc. Additionally ensuring that the nominated driver cohort remains compliant to WTD and RTWTD.

4 Conduct weekly meetings with nominated driver cohort to include the dissemination of Company messages.
5 Supervise and conduct driver briefing / de-briefing processes.
6 Drive engagement through your people and always work to improve ways of working.
7 Participate in the recruitment and selection of drivers.
7 Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, Quality standards and all other company policies and procedures.
8 Responsible for the effective supervision of health, safety & welfare for the wider team.
9 Ensure all processes are adhered to by all drivers including the return of signed PODs.
10 Analyse management reports in order to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
11 Monitor and de-brief driver Optiscore and vehicle compliance / defects reporting upwards as required.
12 Driver supervision ensuring compliance with all drivers’ hours rules, both EU and Domestic, ensuring all drivers record their duty, driving time and rest breaks.
13 Conduct incident investigations and reporting in relation to any vehicle incidents within agreed format and timelines.
14 Ensure the weekly download and storage of digital tachograph unit data and drivers’ smart cards, ensuring all records are provided to the Transport Manager for drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).
15 Ambassador for Health & Safety including training, driver assessments and risk assessments.
16 Ensuring that all activities meet or improve on efficiency targets (KPIs).
17 Conduct driver briefing / de-briefing throughout the depot to include improving driver behaviour through OptiScore, compliance with the road Traffic Act and maintain approved fuel efficiency notifying of tachograph infringements as required, followed by upward reporting.
18 Ensuring great relations and communications are maintained with wider team members and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers.
19 Ensuring all Deliveries are Eta’d with all customers.
You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager. You are required to follow all ATL policies and procedures at all times and take account of ATL guidance.
Qualification in Supervisor Management.
Supervisory / Management experience within a logistics environment.
Knowledge of WTD and RTWD legislation.
Experience of managing teams within tight quality and efficiency parameters.
Experience of people and performance management.
Experience of routing / planning within a multi-drop environment.
Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Ability to make effective decisions.
Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes.
High level of honesty and integrity.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Resilience with an ability to keep calm under pressure and continue to follow the correct processes even under difficult circumstances.
