Job purpose

To carry out in a timely and professional manner, under the direction of the Team Leader and Raw Materials Manager, the physical processes relating to receipt, storage and despatch of goods on behalf of the customer.

4 on 4 off rotating shift (12 hours)

Main duties and responsibilities

1 Receive, put away, pick and despatch customer product as and when requested in a timely and accurate manner.

2 Work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

3 Ensure all administration documentation is completed accurately to the required standards.

4 Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and defined quality standards at all times.

5 Be aware at all times of individual responsibilities regarding own personal health and safety and that of colleagues.

6 Report all personal or equipment related accidents immediately to the Team Leader on duty.

7 Report any “near miss” incidents immediately that could have resulted in a personal or equipment related accident to the Raw Materials Manager.

8 Provide an exceptions standard of service to internal and external customers at all times.

9 Operate all equipment (for which a licence is held and authorisation has been given) correctly and safely at all times.

10 Ensure all equipment checks are carried out as defined in company policy and that all defects are reported immediately.

11Adopt a proactive approach to ensure all issues, concerns and improvements are communicated to all appropriate parties in a timely manner.

12 Assist drivers with outbound loading of vehicles.

13 Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, Quality standards and all other company policies and procedures.

You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager. You are required to follow all ATL policies and procedures at all times and take account of ATL guidance.

Criteria: Qualifications and Training


  • Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance)
Criteria: Knowledge and Experience


  • Experience of working within a warehouse environment.
  • Awareness of SAP system

  • Awareness of personal Health and Safety obligations in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and / or lifting in line with Health and Safety legislation
  • High level of honesty and integrity
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Resilience with an ability to keep calm under pressure and continue to follow the correct processes even under difficult circumstances
  • Willingness to build strong interpersonal relationships with team members and other departments
